Meet my team of
spirit guides
In addition to the crystal spirits, these are my current spiritual guides. All of the hand-drawn, uncannily accurate portraits were channeled by Susan McAliley of Spirit Art by Susan.
Christopher
During a routine drive a few years ago, I mused about intuition and wondered how I could improve mine. Suddenly I heard an exasperated voice say, “If you would just meditate every day, we could help you!” That was the start of my conscious relationship with my primary guide, Christopher. But he had been speaking to me long before that. I am a natural clairaudient; Christopher had been helping to answer my questions for years. Today, he is a constant presence, guiding me as I move through my daily life and deepen my spiritual practice.
Lira
While taking part in a group meditation focused on meeting spirit guides, I visualized a door and in walked Christopher. But he wasn’t alone. Christopher reached back through the door and led into the room a willowy woman with blue skin and fierce energy. That was my introduction to Lira, my guide to the stones. It’s Lira who provides me with the names of stones to use for clients, for myself, or for messages. She also directs me to stones I need to add to my collection and is helping me to access and use ancient healing wisdom.
Eloice
Not long after I met Lira, she brought along another guide, Eloice, to help me understand how to use the stones Lira provides. Eloice is the only guide with whom I’ve remembered sharing a past life—as Tudor-era wise women, we foraged for, prepared, and dispensed herbal medicines. Eloice is now my go-to girl for stone and herbal remedies. Not only does she provide these for clients, but she also alerts me to herbs and stones I need myself. I’m not an herbalist in this life, so I am always surprised and fascinated by what I learn when I research her remedies. Eloice recently helped demystify the angelic realm.
Charlie
Charlie just showed up one day. When I asked why he was there, he said, “To help with the pictures!” Working through intuitive coach and medium Keisha Gallegos, Charlie described himself as my “quantum healing” guide. Not being particularly interested in healing or physics, I wondered who would want quantum healing. He responded with typical Charlie exuberance, “Who wouldn’t?!” Charlie says we all have access to quantum healing, using meditation and sacred geometry. As you might imagine, Charlie is the genius behind the sacred geometry content on the Stone Stories blog.
Ra-Sha
Apparently, I’ve been a member of an Arcturian team all my life. At least that’s what my guide Ra-Sha tells me. Ra-Sha is an Arcturian group consciousness (in their words, "an amalgamation of personalities, ideas, and souls") that introduced itself at 3:30am one night. I declined to connect at that moment, but spent time later that day gauging their energy and cautiously connecting. Ra-Sha has a particular interest in helping humans understand how to work in harmony with our natural world. They have explained color and symbology in the Stone Stories blog, and currently help to interpret energies affecting us.
The Captain
The first guide I ever "met" was a gray blob yelling “Trust!!” Understandably put off by that interaction, I ignored him for a long time. When I developed enough clairvoyant ability to put a face to the energy, his piercing eyes and air of command made him seem like a character from Star Trek. So I nicknamed him The Captain and he answers to the name even now. From that shaky beginning, I’ve learned to appreciate his kindness, humor, and insight. The Captain is my guardian angel, my gatekeeper guide, and (while he still manages to shake me up on a regular basis) a good friend.

We all have spirit guides and angels. Yours are speaking to you every day, in myriad ways. I’ve learned that connecting with your guides is simply a matter of getting quiet (cough, cough, meditating) and understanding how you receive information from the energy field.
