Energy forecast for February 2023

Get out your grounding stones. My guides and the Andromedans team up with the Apophyllite Consciousness to offer an overview of February's energy, including tools and practices that can help us manage what's to come.

I have a friend who appears to experience shifts in the energy months before everyone else. She's something of a bellwether—where she goes, the rest of us seem to follow.

I've always thought that sounded like a fairly uncomfortable way to live. And now I know it is, because I've spent the last month forgetting appointments, mixing up my days, struggling to start or finish tasks, and attempting to balance my emotions. I'm ungrounded. And apparently I, too, am ahead of the curve just now. That's because grounding may be something we all grapple with during the month of February.

My guides and the Andromedans team up with the Apophyllite Consciousness to offer an overview of February's energy. Get out your grounding stones; included here are a few tools and practices that can help us work with what's to come.

What can we expect from the energy of February?

On your Western calendar, February is the time for love. And that is fitting, for the number of its place in the calendar is 2. The 2 describes companionship and balanced support. It expresses the ability to stand on your own feet but also benefit from the support of another.

In 2023, this longing for connection is broadened. This is a month for finding your “squad.” The energy that is ascendant this February is the need to find like-minded others with whom you can collaborate and partner.

What does the energy support for us personally?

This February is a month for seeking knowledge, connection, and partnership. It is a month for casting a net to try to reel in those who can enter into your thoughts, ideas, preferences, and needs.

That longing for a companion begins in the mind. Add to this the unsettling events in your public sphere, and you may find yourselves a little more “up in your heads” than usual. You may feel a little ungrounded, a little separated from the business of day-to-day life. You may have difficulty communicating or be less willing to start or finish tasks.

Being ungrounded can be a serious matter if you're driving a car, for example, or taking a test at school. Being ungrounded can make you feel dizzy. It can make you feel spacey, make it difficult for you to focus, and cause you to feel frustrated and resentful. Being ungrounded can keep you from being fully engaged in your physical world.

However, your human self functions most optimally when you are balanced between engagement in your body and engagement in your mind. So, knowing ahead of time that you may be a little ungrounded this February—a little more “airy-fairy,” as Alison might say—can help you to prepare. You may want to have some grounding tools and exercises ready to help keep you more firmly rooted in your reality.

Can being more grounded help us support Gaia?

Oh yes. When you are rooted in the body to Earth and connected through the mind to Spirit, you actively pull light down and into Gaia. And while this process happens unconsciously, it is a very necessary process for her. Gaia absorbs light on her own, through nature, but she also absorbs light through you.

So that’s another reason to maintain the balance between body and spirit—it helps you more effectively channel light down into Gaia. The more light you hold, the more light you attract. The more light you attract, the more light you channel into Gaia. The more light Gaia holds, the more light your society feels.

How will the energy of February affect us as a collective?

Beings who are ungrounded often are frazzled, easily irritated, anxious, or resentful. And so, you may see these emotions play out on the national stage. This may be a time in which some factions seek to work together while others play out emotional dramas.

What tools or practices can help support us in February?

We would suggest adding grounding meditations to your spiritual practice during this month. Here's one way to ground:

  • Focus your attention on your breath, then imagine yourself inside a cube.

  • Send a spear of your awareness down through the Earth, all the way to its center.

  • Imagine green energy trickling up through your awareness, flowing up into your feet, through your body, and on up to your crown.

  • Breathe quietly for a few moments and enjoy being in Gaia's embrace.

If you are interested in crystals, following are several to consider adding to your practice. Hold one of these in your hand, or place it in your lap or on your root chakra as you meditate. You might also consider wearing one, or sleeping with it under your pillow.

All of these stones are grounding, which means they can help to stabilize your aura, relieve tension and stress, and center your energy. But each has individual properties, too, so research them and use your intuition to decide which is best for you.

What else should we know about the energy of February?

We think you'll be seeing events heating up on the national stage. Members of your Congress may be at odds with each other. Prepare for some squawking—like chickens fighting over food. It's best to just gloss over reports of altercations inside your Congress. The squabbling is chaotic enough; there’s no need to add to it with your energy.

You have but to remained grounded. Remain focused on your environment and the pleasures you find within it. Keep your energy light, and that will help the rest of the world be light. It will also help factions in Congress to more quickly resolve their differences.

Know that resolving those differences may result in sudden or unexpected events, and these may cause something of a nine days’ wonder. This is part of the energy for 2023: to allow some players to move out and new players to move in. In February you may see an intensification in emotional outbursts as we move toward the exiting of some of those players. Stay grounded. Stay light. Stay above it all.
